The location was convenient, just a 5-minute walk from Alpena Civic Theater. the downtown area was very close to Alpena, express, and river walk. - the room was modern and nicely decorated. - We had an incredible river view from our room. - the bed was comfortable.

The stay at the brand-new Holiday Inn Express & Suites Alpena - Downtown was really enjoyable. the hotel had fantastic views and a convenient location. You can easily walk to the Alpena Civic Theater. the room was nicely decorated and brand-new, equipped with a microwave, coffee/tea making facilities, and a fridge.

The rooms here are super clean and look like they were just unwrapped, plus the beds are so comfy you'll feel like you're sleeping on clouds ☁️.

The pool area was nice. the location was marvelous and awesome, close to downtown with an overlook of the river, restaurants, bars, and the lake. - the room included a microwave, coffee/tea making equipment, and a fridge, which was a nice touch. - Having a tub in the private bathroom was a plus.

My stay at Holiday Inn Express was great! The location was excellent, making it convenient for me to explore the nearby river walk. The staff, especially the woman who checked me in, were friendly and knowledgeable. I also found the hotel to be clean and in good condition. Despite a few minor hiccups, overall I had a positive experience and would recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were very nice and had modern furniture and showers. It was spotlessly clean, making us feel right at home. There were plenty of outlets to charge our things, which was convenient. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We especially want to give kudos to Jayy, who checked us in and went above and beyond to assist us. The view from our room was fantastic and we enjoyed spending time on the patio overlooking the river. The hotel's location was excellent, as it was right on a walking path around the canal and close to wonderful restaurants. The breakfast offered was satisfactory.
